Winter Percussion
Winter Percussion, also referred to as indoor percussion, is a competitive extracurricular group who competes at Atlantic Indoor Association (AIA) events from December through March. This ensemble provides an avenue for classroom percussionists to compete with ensembles from other schools and marching percussionists to sustain their musical prowess following the fall marching band season. However, it’s not just for percussionists! This ensemble offers an opportunity for brass and woodwind players as well as other musicians to delve into the realm of percussion instruments. Although many of our Curricular Percussion students participate in Winter Percussion competitions, this is a separate extracurricular group and is open to all band students wishing to participate.
